Transfer Recruit Daelan Denenberg: Silicon Valley, Bay Area Varsity All-Stars

@ddaelan played most of his high school club rugby at flyhalf but has the skillset, size (6'0"), and speed to play just about anywhere in the backline.  Denenberg caught the eye of Bay Area All-Star coaches in 2016 during Silicon Valley's bowl final  playoff match victory vs River City HS.  That summer, Daelan found a home with the all-stars on the wing and scored two tries  against the SoCal Griffins in the deciding match for the Great Northwest Challenge.  Denenberg hopes to transfer to a 4 year college in California in the fall of 2018.  Daelan was also an accomplished football player for Saratoga HS (c/o 2017), earning first team all-league honors as a wide receiver and defensive back as one of the team captains.  As a lacrosse player, he was also captain and team defensive MVP.                                                                                                                                                                         Check Daelan's tries vs the Griffins on the link below (jersey 23) just before the 19 minute mark and just after 32:30                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             2016 Great Northwest Challenge: NorCal Bay Area Jr. Pelicans vs SoCal Griffins

Jake Negrete, San Joaquin Memorial HS, EIRA '19

5 Star Recruit @Jake10 has been in the Rugby NorCal All-Star pool since he was in 8th grade playing for Bullard, Fresno's only middle school program.  In 2016-17, Negrete started a club at San Joaquin Memorial where he has been a leader on and off the pitch for his club, school, and community.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               Jake was recognized as one of the country's best U16s in 2017 by high school all-american coach Salty Thompson.  Negrete played on EIRA select sides at Las Vegas 7s, Rocky Mountain Challenge RCT, and vs British Columbia.    A flyhalf for his club, Jake is suited to play just about anywhere in the back line and earned the #12 jersey in British Columbia.  Check out both full matches of EIRA U16 vs BC below!                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       Thursday Match Film: EIRA U16 vs BC  Thursday Match Report: FloRugby                                                                                                                                                                                                                             Saturday Match Film: EIRA U16 vs BC

Matilda Sullivan, C/O 2019, Prince William County, Virginia

@Sullymmae is a premier player in the Rugby VA HS league and for the VA State rep side, Matilda attended the Eagle Impact rugby Academy (EIRA) Mid-Atlantic Player ID session and was invited to the very first Mid-Atlantic HS Girls Academy throughout the fall and winter of 2017.  As a junior, she is just beginning to look at schools and is focusing primarily on schools with Sports Management or Business Management programs.                                                                                                                                                                                         Playing rugby since 2013, Matilda is a perennial starter at fullback (15s) and wing (7s) for her county team.  In 2017, Matilda averaged over a try per game, including a hat trick in one half of a 7s match.  Additionally, she is known for try saving tackles and is repeatedly recognized for chasing down opponents on breakaway runs.  She often co-captains her side and received "play of the day" recognition by the VA State coach on both days of the "Ruck in Rock Hill" tournament- once for a 50 meter chase down and try saving tackle and the other for a 70 meter touchline hugging run for a try while fending off 5 would-be tacklers.  One additional biographic note is that Matilda is a dual national with both U.S. and British citizenship.                                                                                                MATILDA'S 15S HIGHLIGHTS                                                                                                                                            MATILDA'S 7S HIGHLIGHTS
